On September 7 Limassol (Cyprus) hosted the award ceremony of the 8th international
competition “Professional Popov Award for Radio Broadcasting”, held annually
among Russian-language radio stations. The Popov Award was established in 1998
by the Russian Benevolent Foundation for Radio Broadcasting.
Over 100 radio stations of 52 cities of 6 countries took part in the competition.
In the nomination of “Specialized program” the jury found “The Diary of the
Unborn Baby” program of Yerevan radio “Van” to be the best of 57 rivals.
