MEDIA AND JOURNALISTIC NGOs START DEVELOPING ETHICAL NORMS

On February 2 at 15.00 Yerevan Press Club will host the first meeting of the
representatives of media and journalistic associations that supported the YPC
initiative to jointly develop the main norms of professional ethics and to follow
them in their day-to-day work. As it has been reported, the appeal of YPC to
the media community of Armenia was released on January 9 and supported by 17
media, 8 professional associations and 3 journalists (see details in YPC Weekly
Newsletter, January 19-25, 2007).
By the time this Newsletter was issued, the initiative was also joined by “A1+”
and “Hustup” TV companies, Transcaucasian Editorial Bureau of “Regnum” news
agency, “Civil Initiative” newspaper.
