GOLDEN PEN-2000

On December 22, at Journalists Union of Armenia the award ceremony of “Golden Pen” contest winners took place. The contest is held by JUA every three years.

According to the established tradition, winners were determined in one nomination – for the best publicistic stories.

The winners of "Golden Pen"-2000, by the decision of the jury, are:

Rouzan Zakarian, the Editor of the Arts Department of "Garoun" magazine – for a number of publicistic articles in "Garoun" and "AV Courier" magazines, as well as in “Hayutiun” newspaper;

Armenak Manukian (Arman Amrikian), Head of Public Relations and Press Service of RA Ministry of National Security – for covering the activities of secret services, for stories on Stalinian political repressions and dissident persecution in Armenia in more than 300 publicistic articles and programs.
The monetary prizes to the winners were sponsored by Converse Bank.
