On October 14 at the House of Journalist the meeting of Penny Dixon, the Eurasia Editor of News Division at "Voice of America" radio station, with Armenian media representatives was held. The meeting was organized by Yerevan Press Club. According to Penny Dixon, who coordinates the news coverage of CIS, the main purpose of her first visit to Armenia and the region was "to meet people, to learn what their expectations with regard to VoA are so as to produce good and meaningful information that would be interesting for the audience in your country". Armenian journalists in particular said they wised to hear on the air of the VoA Armenian Service more news about the numerous Armenian Diaspora in the US, about the economic relations of the two countries, the official position of the USA on the issues that relate to Armenia.
