Armenia 2019” implemented by YPC and German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office. The participants (35 in number) were representatives of state structures, expert community, NGOs, media and MPs of Armenia, experts from Germany. Main issues discussed: evaluation of “@Media Societies․ Armenia 2019 ” project; media policy in Armenia – the current situation; social networks – actions aimed at avoiding regulation; draft law on hate speech; presentation of the results of workshops and analysis of the final document of the first working group on the topic “Online Media and Effective Online Management”; presentation of the results of workshops and analysis of the final document of the second working group on the topic “Media Transparency”.

The participants (14 in number) were representatives of state structures, expert community, NGOs and media of Armenia, experts from Germany. Main issues discussed: hate speech and fake news; state and social networks; online sphere control.
Current Stage of the EU Eastern Partnership Initiative: Priorities and Challenges – November 15-17, 2019, Aghveran, Armenia, seminar organized by Yerevan Press Club with the support of Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The participants (25 in number) were representatives of diplomatic missions, Armenian state structures, expert community, NGOs and media. Main issues discussed: priorities of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and its implementation; current agenda of the Eastern Partnership and EU-Armenia relations; role of parliamentary diplomacy in the European vector of the Armenian policy; role of civil society in the EaP bilateral and multilateral formats; European integration as a target for hybrid wars; summary of the EaP Media Conference results.
Media Transparency – November 8-10, 2019, Tsakhkadzor, Armenia, workshop organized by Yerevan Press within the frames of the joint project “@Media Societies. Armenia 2019” implemented by YPC and German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office. The participants (15 in number) were representatives of state structures, expert community, NGOs and media of Armenia, experts from Germany. Main issues discussed: effect of transparency; transparency of decision making process taking into account financial and other factors; application of transparency.
Media Transparency – October 5-6, 2019, Aghveran, Armenia, workshop organized by Yerevan Press within the frames of the joint project “@Media Societies. Armenia 2019” implemented by YPC and German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office. The participants (17 in number) were representatives of Armenian state structures, expert community, NGOs, media and MPs, experts from Germany. Main issues discussed: transparency of regulatory bodies; importance of a transparent regulatory process; advantages and disadvantages of a transparent regulatory process; differentiation by types of regulation and methods of taking steps.
Online Media and Effective Online Management – September 28-29, 2019, Aghveran, Armenia, workshop organized by Yerevan Press within the frames of the joint project “@Media Societies. Armenia 2019” implemented by YPC and German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office. The participants (14 in number) were representatives of state structures, expert community, NGOs and media of Armenia, experts from Germany. Main issues discussed: rights of journalists in the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR); specific problems of online journalism in Armenia; Armenian judicial system and ECHR; bloggers and journalists’ rights.
10 Years of the EaP: Achievements and Challenges – September 13-15, 2019, Aghveran, Armenia, seminar organized by Yerevan Press Club with the support of Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The participants (24 in number) were representatives of state structures, expert community, NGOs and media of Armenia. Main issues discussed: Eastern Partnership and priorities of the newly formed EU institutions; progress in the establishment of CEPA Civil Society Platform; new strategic agenda 2019-2024 and the revised European Neighborhood Policy; from the enthusiasm of 2009 to the realities of 2019; current stage of EU-Armenia cooperation; role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the European vector of the Armenian policy.
Presentation of Research “Armenia-Azerbaijan: Searching for New Models of Dialogue” – July 22, 2019, Yerevan, discussion organized by Yerevan Press Club. The research was administered in 2018-2019 by Yerevan Press Club and “Yeni Nesil” Journalists Union of Azerbaijan with the financial assistance of the U.S. Department of State Public Affairs Section. The participants (34 in number) were representatives of expert community, NGOs and media of Armenia, international structures and diplomatic missions.

Main issues discussed: media transparency; legal regulation of Armenian online media; journalistic ethics in Armenia – current situation, problems and functional necessity of norms of professional conduct; relationship of social media and election campaigns.
Armenia-EU: Facing a New Stage of Relations – May 24-26, 2019, Aghveran, Armenia, seminar organized by Yerevan Press Club with the support of Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The participants (21 in number) were representatives of state structures, expert community, NGOs and media of Armenia. Main issues discussed: CEPA implementation roadmap: priorities and opportunities; Government-civil society cooperation as a resource for tangible results in the reforms agenda; CEPA ratification process and prospects of the EU-Armenia parliamentary cooperation; Europe vs. Eurasia in the media and social networks; geopolitical context of the EU-Armenia relations; Europeanization index of post-soviet countries.
Media Sphere Priorities on the Path of Development of Democratic Institutions in Armenia – April 26, 2019, Yerevan, conference organized by Yerevan Press Club in the frames of “Media for Informed Civic Engagement” project implemented by YPC in partnership with the Media Initiatives Center and supported by USAID. The participants (94 in number) were representatives of state structures, Commission on Television and Radio, Media Ethics Observatory, expert community, NGOs and media of Armenia, international structures and diplomatic missions. Main issues discussed: Armenian media: current realities, problems, concerns; media and elections; legislative regulation of the broadcast sphere; politics/society and media: crossing and contact points.
